In a heartfelt repayment, Roger Daltrey announced the launch of the UCLA Daltrey/Townshend Teen & Young Adult Cancer Program, which will serve teens and young adult cancer patients at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
The vision of the program is to ensure that every young person receives the best possible care and professional support to help them meet the physical and emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis. The belief is that teenagers and young adults shouldn’t stop enjoying their youth just because they have cancer. – more on this story

Sunday night, the Rolling Stones’ frontman led a tribute to soul singer Solomon Burke, who died last year. the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer opened for the Stones several times during his career comeback late in life.
Jagger was joined by Raphael Saadiq for “Everybody needs Somebody to Love,” a song co-written by Burke that the Stones used to kick off shows back in the band’s early years. many people are also familiar with the song from the Blues Brothers’ first movie. – more on this story

. On Tuesday Axl 86ed Adler from Guns N’ Roses Gig was a top story. here is the recap: (Rock News Desk) taking Dawn frontman Chris Babbitt has told how he was forced to kick former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler out of an LA venue because Axl Rose refused to perform until he’d gone.
The fiery singer was playing in the Hard Rock Hotel in September 2006 with a new lineup. Adler had bought tickets and was just another member of the crowd, but when Rose saw him in the audience he ordered security to remove him.
And Babbitt was one of the venue staff who gave the sacked drummer his marching orders. – more on this story
