 How exercise can help people cope with their loss

There are different types of loss; death, divorce, break ups, even the loss of a pet can inflict grief. Grief is the natural response to a significant loss. It is much more involved than sadness and healthy methods of coping must be implemented. How can exercise help people cope with their loss? 

Taking care of yourself is always important but especially during times of emotional turmoil. The mind and body are connected, one will always affect the other. There are

physical symptoms of grief such as, fatigue, weight loss or gain, aches, pains, and insomnia. A good way to ease the physical soreness is through exercise. It will release all that tension in your muscles. Exercise combats fatigue by improving circulation and invigorating you. It reduces anxiety and levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that effects weight. 

While there are 5 stages to grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance) it can still be experienced like a roller-coaster. These stages don’t always happen in order, you may have highs and lows. This is completely normal and exercise is a great way to keep your hormones balanced. 

Research shows the same neurotransmitters targeted by antidepressants are also affected by exercising. Exercise is a natural mood booster. It releases endorphins, those “feel good” chemicals, into your body.

Assistant Professor J. Carson Smith, from the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Maryland, studies how physical activity affects brain function. Smith found, that not only does exercise reduce anxiety, it helps protect against future emotional distress as well. His subjects were either instructed to rest for 30 minutes, or workout for the same amount of time. While anxiety levels reduced in both groups, only those who had exercised were able to maintain their reduced levels of anxiety after being emotionally stimulated.  

On a psychological level, exercise serves as a distraction and it also helps restore a sense of control. When coping with loss, one of the symptoms is a feeling of helplessness. You could feel helpless to your feelings, helpless to your current situation, and helpless to get back what you lost. When you’re exercising, you’re in control of your body, its movements and your physique. It makes you feel stronger inside and out.

Whether you do vigorous activities like running and cycling or lighter activities such as Yoga or taking short walks, 30 minutes of activity is enough to reap the mood boosting benefits. Keep in mind there is no “correct” amount of time for the grieving process. It will lessen with time. Seek professional help if you’re having trouble moving on to the acceptance stage and begin to suffer from severe depression.

Um, what?

Not something you would typically see in an article about writing blogs, let alone for articles that are hopefully increasing your online exposure. But think about it, “be the blog”.

If you are developing a website and blog, or write articles regularly, you want to make sure that your “humanness” shines forth. You want people to know that you are real and that what you are writing about is real. Tell me which one is more interesting:

1. The person telling you about how you can make a lot of money if you follow their simple steps? They typically offer a low price, well, it was a lot more, but for this one-time-before-midnight-tonight deal they are willing to offer it to you for a fraction of the price. Then you just have to do what you’re told and the money is yours.

OR

2. The person who tells you about what they’re doing, how they’re doing it, and the support they are receiving in order to do it. As an example: I purchase and use this product and I have found that it helps me in so many ways. I have made a long-time commitment to building my online business and invite you to join me if you’ve ever wanted to do this, too.

The first example is what we often see online and have to be careful that we don’t buy the next “bright shiny object”. These folks are good at writing their ad copy, maybe even hire copywriters, so that you feel compelled to buy-in. They have their opt-in page, their funnel, and their landing page. They wait on the other side, knowing you cannot help yourself.

In the second example, they will tell you if there’s any cost involved but will also tell you what benefit they are receiving for that money. The writing is different, more personal, and comes across as an invitation for you to join…and they will also help. They are building quality and that is evident in their writing and the information they are providing. These people know the importance of value and that if you don’t like what you’re reading you won’t come back.

You start to think that these people might actually care about you. Why?

Because they are being the blog…the article…the content that they are writing about. They have let “who they are” be reflected in “what they say” and subsequently in “what they’re selling”. Which one of these would you read and feel welcomed by?

Here’s an example: why do you go back to the same realtor, the same car salesman, the same grocery store? Because you have built a relationship over time and, to varying degrees, trust. So you go back. Because you are also loyal and they have been open with you in the past and have answered the questions you had or stocked the products you wanted.

It’s really not more complicated than that. For the most part we are fairly bright people and can see through the slick ads and get-rich-quick schemes. We are also able to recognize quality and honesty when we see it. And those are the websites…the bloggers…the people…we will follow because , like each one of us, they are real people.

I would rather buy from a straight-shooter than a shyster… wouldn’t you?

How our beautiful nature had been continuously deteriorating that is all about this article

  1. God had given a lot of wonderful things to which we must preserve and take care of them. He had a created a wonderful and beautiful nature for us which consist of different plants, trees, animals, birds, rivers and mountains. We are taking the joy of this nature but no one taking care of it. Instead of taking care of it we are destroying it which we shouldn’t do. Just think for a moment when you are bored alone or stressed what you often do? It’s very common among all of us that is we want to go for a walk beside a sea beach or want to spend some time sitting in a calm and quiet place and it is obvious it’s a park full of flowers, butterflies . It’s make that moment very pleasant for us for sometime we feel that we are in heaven. The sorrow moment of us turn the happiest moment for us. As it relaxes our mind and make our heart soothing with its brilliant color called green. 
  2. The nature seems to pose all the light colors which include especially green and blue. The color creates such a magic within us that we always want to preserve it. But by only preserving it we can’t make everything perfect rather we must also know how to take care of this god gifted nature. Try to be the one among the all here in this world who had a caring and loving attitude towards this nature which consist many  precious lives and they need to be saved for the future.
  3.  We mustn’t allow any haunter or poacher to extinct those wonderful creatures who are a part of our Eco-system. if they wouldn’t be their then every thing will be disturbed. It’s true for all that there is  time when we are born and a time is  also their when we are killed but before the death comes it shouldn’t be happen with any of us. it is true for all the creatures created by the almighty. consider the life of this wonderful gift by god as your own’s life and try to understand it feelings and help it when it needs your help.life of all organisms had turn into a battle field, here no one care’s for other’s everyone lives for his own. no one had emotions rather everyone show’s his or her attitude and think themselves as the superior ones and the rest as inferiors . therefore they are unable to take care of their own mother earth. rather they are making it life drastic to more drastic but never trying to preserve for the future generation.
